Beginning Clay Sculpture 1/5-2/2

Service Description

Learn how to create abstract and figurative sculptures using clay in this beginning level course. Guided by conceptual artist Mark Quinto, you will learn the basics of clay hand building and apply them to making two sculptures: an 8 to 12 inch tall abstract sculpture and an 8 to 12 inch tall human figurative sculpture. There will be a progress review at the beginning of the third week to see how your work is coming along and an opportunity to receive constructive criticism to help move your work forward to the final product. Clay, tools, glazing, and firing are all included. Classes will meet on Thursdays, 1/5-2/2 from 6-8 pm.
